Documentation, Policy and Procedure Development

Policies and procedures are the backbone of a good management system. Workplace Partners can assist you in developing documentation tailored to your business and in developing your document control system. A document control system needs to be inclusive of documentation numbering, review revision dates and date of issue.  This is important in controlling and reviewing of documentation and having a current up-to-date system in line with management system practices.

When you become a member of Workplace Partners, you will receive six core policies as part of your membership pack. These are:

  • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)Management
  • HSE Hazard Management
  • Injury Management
  • Quality Management
  • Workplace Bullying
  • Employee Records.

The business you are conducting will determine the level of documentation required.

Some small businesses may require only the core policies listed above, others may require more in-depth Policies and Procedures, Safety Management Plans, Environmental Management Plans, Risk Management Plans, Standard Operating Procedures, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Job Safety & Environmental Analysis (JSEA) and other documentation relating to the operations of the business.

Most tender applications require a functional document control system to be established as part of the tender process. They may require business management plans, safety management plans, environmental management plans and quality management plans; all of which Workplace Partners can assist you in developing.

If you require assistance developing this, or any other documentation required by your business please contact Workplace Partners on 1300 116 400.
